Become a Volunteer

NXG depends on parents and community volunteers who have a passion for helping kids grow, using the world of motorsports to help them learn skills that transfer to the road, the workplace, and life. If you can help, we need you. Volunteers assist with checking in students, setting up and tearing down the class and track, and serving on our safety crew.

We are always looking for volunteers to help NXG crew!
Our Director of Community Engagement will assist you or your group to find the right volunteer opportunity.

What to Expect as a Volunteer

Depending on needs and ability, volunteers would be asked to assist with any of the following:
• Work directly with youth during hands-on motorsports academy sessions
• Share your career journey, technical knowledge, and workplace skills
• Reinforce safety, teamwork, and professionalism in a structured environment
• Serve as a positive role model and trusted adult
• Set out and picking bales of straw
• Set out and pick up cones
• Set up and tear down tents, tables and chairs
• Move totes
• Assist students with uniforms
• Chaperone students on restroom breaks
• Work as a corner marshal – assist with flagging
• Help re-set track and get karts turned around when students spin, etc.
• Assist with selling swag
• Hand out water
• Do whatever is needed to keep things running smoothly

At NXG, the safety and well-being of the youth we serve are our highest priorities. Before individuals can register as an adult volunteer, they must complete the Youth Protection Training. Note that all volunteers must go through an application process that includes a criminal background check.

Child Safety Policy Statement & Volunteer Agreement

The safety and well-being of all youth participants in NXG Youth Motorsports programs and events are foundational to our mission. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every student involved in our programs.

All NXG staff, coaches, and volunteers who interact with minors are expected to actively help prevent, recognize, and appropriately respond to abuse, misconduct, or unsafe situations. Every adult involved with NXG Youth Motorsports shares responsibility for protecting the youth entrusted to our care.

By volunteering with NXG Youth Motorsports, I understand and agree to the following expectations:

    • Any form of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, harassment, intimidation, bullying, hazing, or misconduct toward a minor is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
    • Adult/minor one-on-one interactions must occur in observable and interruptible settings where others can see and/or hear the interaction and intervene if necessary. Private or isolated meetings with a minor are not permitted.
    • Volunteers must always maintain appropriate professional boundaries with youth participants.
    • Any concerns, suspected abuse, inappropriate behavior, or unsafe situations must be reported immediately to NXG leadership.
    • Volunteers must follow all safety procedures and guidelines established by NXG Youth Motorsports during programs, classes, and events.

I acknowledge that protecting the youth participating in NXG Youth Motorsports programs is a shared responsibility. By signing below, I affirm that I have read, understand, and agree to follow the NXG Youth Motorsports Child Safety Policy and will uphold these standards while serving as a volunteer.
